Maywood Park District $1,000 Equipment Contest for the Maywood BUCS
Maywood BUCS, in Maywood, Illinois needs your help! The BUCS, a youth athletic program at the Maywood Park District, is seeking a $1,000 donation in order to purchase new equipment and outfit its teams. It is the goal for the Maywood BUCS to receive the most votes via on-line registration and submittal as possible. Maywood Park District Awarded Illinois Youth Recreation Corps Grant
On Tuesday, July 5th, Governor Pat Quinn announced The Illinois Youth Recreation Corps grant program that provides employment for youth ages 16-19. To be eligible, agencies must have the ability to provide suitable facilities, materials, and management staff for summer recreational activities for youth within the local community. Administered by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR), the goal of The Illinois Youth Recreation Corps grant program is for local agencies to provide employment for youth who are operating and instructing in recreational and conservation programs for the benefit of other youth. Applicants must be units of local government or not-for-profit entities. Illinois Youth Recreation Corps (IYRC) program has awarded and named the Maywood Park District as a recipient, and therefore the Maywood Park District is actively accepting applications for employment.
